Backend & Core Java
- Proficiency in Java 11 or higher and Object-Oriented Programming

Angular & Frontend
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, high-performance user interfaces using Angular 20+ and TypeScript
- Mastery of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript (ES6+) with a deep understanding of modern frontend fundamentals
- Strong command of Node.js and package management via npm/yarn including dependency management and build tooling
- Apply Angular architectural best practices including LIFT principles, Smart/Dumb (Container/Presentational) component patterns, and Façade pattern
- Drive scalability and performance through lazy loading, bundle analysis, and code splitting
- Advanced knowledge of authentication and authorization using JWT including secure token handling and session management
- Experience with Highcharts and PrimeNG for building rich, data-driven UI components
- Proficiency writing unit tests with Karma/Jasmine ensuring robust test coverage across components and services
- Build and maintain in-house npm libraries and shared component/utility libraries used across engineering teams
- Champion security-first development practices writing code that anticipates and mitigates common frontend vulnerabilities
Infrastructure & DevOps
- Own and maintain Horizon CI/CD pipeline and build tooling
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools: Jenkins and similar
- Familiarity with AWS services: EC2, S3, SES, SNS, SQS and similar
- Familiarity with Docker and containerization basics
- Familiarity with monitoring tools: CloudWatch and similar

Tasks & Responsibilities
Phoenix Platform — Backend
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, reliable, and scalable backend services within the Phoenix platform
- Own and develop all APIs supporting the Horizon frontend and mobile layer
- Own the mobile API layer jointly with Role 1 — maintenance, enhancements, and new features
- Handle background jobs, schedulers, batch processing, and service integrations within the Phoenix platform
- Uphold multi-tenant architecture principles across all backend work
- Identify performance bottlenecks and develop solutions in a high-traffic multi-tenant SaaS environment
- Support platform-wide framework and version upgrades as needed alongside Role 1
Horizon — Full Ownership
- Own the full Horizon Angular application — frontend architecture, component development, and maintenance
- Complete the ongoing mod admin migration from Phoenix legacy UI to Horizon
- Design and build new features and enhancements on Horizon as business requires
- Build and maintain shared npm component and utility libraries used across the engineering team
- Drive frontend performance through lazy loading, bundle analysis, and code splitting
- Own and maintain the Horizon CI/CD pipeline and build tooling
- Deploy Horizon builds to staging environments; coordinate with Role 1 for production deployments
Architecture & Design
- Translate business requirements into full-stack solutions across Phoenix backend and Horizon frontend
- Create design documents from software requirements
- Apply scalability methodologies in a consistent and robust manner
Security & Compliance
- Own Angular and frontend security — identify and remediate common frontend vulnerabilities
- Participate in quarterly SOC 2 compliance activities including frontend-specific static and 3rd party library scans
- Remediate frontend security findings within defined SLAs
- Apply security-first development practices across all Angular and frontend code
Incident Response
- Support incident response and troubleshooting for enterprise clients within defined SLAs
- Use Splunk for log analysis, issue diagnosis, and post-incident review
- Identify root causes and implement permanent fixes for production issues
Team & Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Role 1 senior engineer, US-based oversight engineer, and technical architect
- Participate in code reviews across backend and frontend codebases
- Mentor mid-level engineers as the India team scales
